The auger would not turn the dispenser because the screw threads were stripped. I could not re-thread it so I had to replace the entire motor assembly. Removed back panel in freezer compartment. Held on by four hex head screws. Disconnected wire assembly from panel and then replaced evaporator fan motor on kitchen table. Evaporator fan motor is attached to back side of freezer panel by four hex head screws. Easy repair to do.It took me about 30 minutes to do the repair. Read more

Removed the freezer drawers, ice maker, and panel that the fan motor is attached to. Changed out the fan motor reinstalled everything and plugged it in, and presto. I had ordered the control board just in case but didn't need it. The fan motor wasn't the easier part to replace but it was the cheaper of the two. Because the old motor would run for just a short time I assumed that it wasn't sending a signal back to the control board telling it that it was running. I was right!! Read more

This was a tricky one to figure out. The Maytag Centennial MVWC400XW4 would fill and wash, then stop before spin cycle or would not complete the spin cycle. We had to manually move the dial to rinse & spin, etc. to get it to finish a load. This technique worked but it definitely became a pain to do and at the time we didn't notice how much longer the machine took calibrating a wash load. Refrigerator was not cooling, but was continuously runing & freezer compartment was extremely cold. Determined that fan assembly that takes freezer air & circulates to the refrigerator didn't seem to be working. Determined that the fan assembly motor was not rotating. Easily found replacement on AppliancePartsPro.com. Received the part quickly (Impressive delivery time!).
