Ordered new clutch, rotor and drum sensor assembly. If your clutch bearings go, make sure you check rotor, stator and sensor for damage. Read more

Obtained the replacement motor and tray coupler from Appliance Parts Pro. Video of the typical replacement was very helpful to show what to expect and how to replace the motor and coupler. The removal of the bottom plate was held in place by several phillips screws. The motor was attached with two torx screws. The electric connection clips to the motor required needle nose pliers to pull them off. The tray coupler was simple to install after the motor was secured and bottom plate was replaced.. Read more

I could hear the dryer motor hum, but it would not run. There was nothing obstructing the motor from turning freely so I assumed I needed a new motor. I went ahead and ordered a new pulley switch to change out while I was in there just in case. The parts arrived faster than expected. I changed the switch first and then checked the old motor which surprisingly fired right up. Now I have to decide whether to return the new motor or keep it as a spare. Read more

The evaporator fan had stopped working and caused the entire area around it to ice up. No air flow was getting from the freezer to the fridge. I replaced the damper control (it was rusted, not sure if it was workign or not) and the evaporator fan. It was a very quick repair once I diagnosed the problem. The most time consuming part was taking all the compartments apart to get to the affected area. Read more

Once you tilt the washer and prop it against something it's a pretty straight forward and easy fix. If you watch the instructional "How-to" video beforehand, the repair should take between 30 to 60 minutes. It all depends on your skill level and if everything goes smoothly. Disconnect power, remove panel that covers motor/fan wiring, take some pictures of wiring connection, unplugged wiring, removed motor bracket, replaced new motor in brackets, reinstalled all components. Read more

Removed the freezer drawers, ice maker, and panel that the fan motor is attached to. Changed out the fan motor reinstalled everything and plugged it in, and presto. I had ordered the control board just in case but didn't need it. The fan motor wasn't the easier part to replace but it was the cheaper of the two. Because the old motor would run for just a short time I assumed that it wasn't sending a signal back to the control board telling it that it was running. I was right!! Read more

I removed the screen over the exhausted fan, use a socket to remove bolts disconnected power cable and pulled assembly out. I merely install assembly in reverse order. 20 minutes top for repair, saved at least $90 service charge not including their cost for the part. Easy fix. Read more
