Checked all hoses for clogs cleaned them out and problem still existed so it was time for a new pump and since I was in there I replaced the drain hoses as well. Pump and hoses were exact oem replacement parts project took 30 minutes and the wife was happy again!!! Read more

This was a tricky one to figure out. The Maytag Centennial MVWC400XW4 would fill and wash, then stop before spin cycle or would not complete the spin cycle. We had to manually move the dial to rinse & spin, etc. to get it to finish a load. This technique worked but it definitely became a pain to do and at the time we didn't notice how much longer the machine took calibrating a wash load. Prior to ordering parts I had pulled the pump strainer basket and cleaned it out. There was both soft and hard scale build up. The tub-to-pump hose was also pretty crusty/slimey. Still got warnings for SUDS and repeated F02 errors. Ordered parts and replaced the pump, tub-to-pump hose, interior drain hose and exterior drain hose (both hoses has some slime build up). I had replaced the Agitator cams a couple of times already due to my brother-in-law overloading the machine which stripped the teeth off of the cams. I also noticed the agitator seemed to 'wobble' and made 'knocking' noises quite a bit. Researched, then decided to try everything suggested. Cleaned the hidden filter under the washer, checked the lines and the water inlet valves, opened it up and found a hose rubbed thin because it wasn't clipped correctly during the manufacturing process. Replaced the inlet valve, pressure sensor and the thinned tube (all parts except the hose from appliance parts pros.com-had to get the hose at the car parts store). I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. The inlet valve was okay but the screen had all kinds of crap in there that I couldn't clean out so now I have an extra solenoid just in case one of the others fails.
