Maytag Gasket & Seal

Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Flip the burner facing down. Take out the seven screws that hold together the housing and the slip off the housing. Disconnect the igniter leads. Turn the burner clock wise from the opposite side your likely working. You'll get a better purchase there. Take the screws out of the old igniter, as they don't come in with the new igniter. Ordered oven door seal Part Number Y702338 (Whirlpool AP4291897) to replace the oven door seal on 30-year old Jenn-Air model S125 downdraft slide-in range. • Leaking

I ordered a new rubber door seal for around door, new bottom door seal and spinner impeller and nut to hold on bottom arm as it looked weak. Everything worked great except bottom door seal which looks slightly different and would NOT stay on. I ended up putting back on the old one. Door doesnt leak but not sure it would even be worth it sending part back as I already tossed bag out. Other parts worked great and DW cleaning better. Read more

Replaced the felt seal and door vent assembly by removing the inside panel of the door and cleaning off the old seal and replacing with the new one. The vent assembly simply snapped out and was easy to replace with the new one. No more leaks and Mother was happy. Removal of the screws required a torx screw driver and someone to hold the door open while the panel was replaced. Easy fix. Read more
