Removed the back cover to access the fan area. Clean the area with brush and vac first. Unplugged the Refrigerator. Used a socket set with 1/4" socket. Had an extended and a standard socket. Removed the condensate plastic drain from the bottom of the refrigerator to have more access to the fan. Unplugged the fan motor. Removed the two screws holding the fan in place. The tech sheet test 56 said the motor wouldn't return to zero. I ordered the "Ice Maker Assy-Lp, and the Valve Assy-Water Dual". On my particular model the ice maker is in the ceiling of the refrigerator box. After removing the water filter and two screws around the drop down water filter door, the right side panel drops down by pulling it apart from 3 plastic pop-ins. I bought the listed condenser fan motor for my Maytag refrigerator. Access to the condenser fan is by removing sheet metal screws of bottom panel with 1/4 in. nut driver. Condenser fan is on left side of rear access area. Remove electrical connector by pressing-in connector release tab with thumb fingernail and pulling on connector. Remove three mounting screws with 5/16 nut driver. Work fan out to the right past the compressor. I used a pair of pliers, as a lever, behind the plastic fan blades... Read more
