Being an ex maintainence. person, I went down and turned off the water supply. Then I started to try to find the leak by removing the rear covers for the compressor and valves. Once removing a couple of covers where the dual valve was, I spotted where the water was coming from.I then pulled the electrical plug from the wall. Between the solenoid and valve. I ordered this part and replaced it myself. The photo confirmed I had the correct part. I removed the crisper drawers and all (took 1 minute) and couldn't figure out how to remove this part. Some of the notes claimed there were screws holding it on but that is not correct. One of the large tabs on this part is what keeps this part in place. Plastic drum was broken and wasn't pushing the ice through the crusher teeth. Received my part pronto and made the repair. Was an easy fix, took about 15 min from start to finish. Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. Looked up the parts list and diagram by serial number. Found the correct part numbers and ordered 2 crisper drawers, the meat drawer and the bar that holds bottles on the bottom shelf of the door. The diagram showed endcaps needed on the bar, but that was only for if the bar was for the freezer door. Parts were a little expensive, but we're beautiful and delivered in just a few days. The repair went well. Never made this type of repair before. Took me around 90 minutes to complete. The worst part was winging it on how to disassemble the bottom drawers. On my Kenmore Elite, it has three freezer compartment sliding trays. The other difficult part for me was removing the clipped in part on the back of the freezer panel. The dual inlet valve was the problem. The hardest part of the repair was moving the refrigerator so we could unplug it. The whole job took about 25 minutes and that includes the time we spent emptying and reorganizing the shelves. I love AppliancePartsPros.com.
