The ice dispenser chute door had not been sealing for years. The ice cubes on the lower portion of the ice bin would melt enough eventually to then freeze up into a big, amalgamated blob of ice due to ambient air coming up the chute. I searched online for replacement parts and Appliance Parts Pros had the part in stock. Before I ordered the part, I watched the video to see if I could handle the repair. I ordered the part and soaked the gaskets with warm water in the tub. The old gaskets had a much simpler setup, so no cutting was involved. • Ice maker not making ice

I determined my thermostat was defective, ordered the thermostat which arrived in two days and I replaced the thermostat and I now have a full bin of ice !!! I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. I had a slow leak at the water inlet valve where the water line from the filter assembly connected to the water inlet valve. I determine that the water line had scratches in it which caused it to not seal. Had to buy the entire reservoir and filter assembly to get that water line. The replacement was smooth. It took about 30 minutes to swap out and it fixed the leak. Read more

Replaced the damper control. It took only 10-15 minutes. Since replacement, the clicking noise has stopped. Very happy with the result. However, want to share that there was probably nothing wrong with the original damper other than the original faulty design. The flap opens and closes and believe the clicking noise was the result of plastic against plastic.
