Oven heating element burned out. Andrew M. • Odessa , MO • February 06, 2021
The top part of our double wall oven quit working a couple years ago. We asked an appliance repair guy if he could find a replacement heating element and after a few days, he told us he couldn't. We switched to using the bottom and recently I started looking to purchase a new oven.
On a whim, I decided to check the Interwebs and found several sites claiming to have the part that the appliance repair guy said didn't exist. I ordered from Appliance Parts Pros and a few days later the...

Large heating element not working Shaun G. • Boulder , MT • September 04, 2015
I wasn't sure if it was the heating element surface, the receptacle or the switch. My wife does some canning so it had some good use. It turned out to be the receptacle. I purchased the element as well thinking it needed replaced anyway. All works now. All three items are/would be easy to change.

Personally I have experience working with electricity and knowing if I bought the part required this would be an easy fix. I ordered my parts on Sunday and received them on Tuesday.
This was a simple repair that only required a screwdriver to remove the old terminal block from the range hood, wire...

The outer ring of the front left element would heat but the inner would not Larry G. • Flintstone , GA • December 17, 2019
Replacement of the element was relatively straightforward, but there are a couple of things to be aware of before you begin. First, turn off power to the stove at the breaker box. Allow the cooktop to raise by removing the two screws that secures it on the underside of the front edge. Open the oven door to do this. Removal of the old element is simple, just remove the two screws that secure the wide mounting bracket that holds the two front elements. Carefully turn the assembly over. To...

Left front burner center coil did not work Jack P. • Leesburg , FL • September 12, 2016
We are very inexperienced appliance repair people. Thus check it out first to see if we can fixit...successs. First checked to be sure it wasn't the actual switch. Did this by numbering the wires and then switching the two switches b/w the right and left front dual burners. Success, the switch was fine but kinda disappointed cause this part was less expensive. Proceeded to then order the left front dual burner. Arrived in a few days, packed well. We unplugged the appliance, as it been a...

Upper element in top oven burned out D M. • Pittsoboro , NC • April 03, 2016
The upper element in the top oven burned out. This was likely due to sugary food that had gotten on the element when the food was moved in/out of the element. The element was coated in crusty, burned food and the element was cracked in six or so places.
The oven is a Maytag Gemini double oven range. The model number appears to be MER6875AAQ based on our receipt and manual. We did not pull out the oven since it is difficult to do so in our kitchen.

Our Amana electric oven stopped producing heat. The bake element would not get hot anymore. I pulled stove away from wall and unplugged it. Removed the oven racks for easier access and simply used a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the element to the back interior wall.
I slide the element forward until the two ends of the element came out of the back wall, exposing the electrical connectors. Next I removed the wire connectors from the element using a pair of pliers for...
