One of the burners on my 1990s (?) Hotpoint electric stove was unreliable heating up around 2/3 of the time Earl R. • Presque Isle , ME • August 11, 2022
I ordered the recommended Infinite Heat Switch Kit and Element Receptacle and Wire Kit and installed them. The latter was a breeze, appearing to be exactly the same as the original, except for the wire color. The switch, though, was another story. It is a RobertShaw "replacement" part, designed, it seems, for use in the greatest number of original units as possible. The most obvious difference between this switch and the original (besides its comparatively small size) is the long, segmented...

Baking element broke broiler never worked since I moved in 13 years ago and the four burners on the stove top were slowly dying Marybeth K. • Milltown , NJ • November 13, 2017
With the help of Wendee and Karen, we finally figured out my model numbers and which parts where correct. I ordered the parts and all arrived the next day except for the Broiler element which arrived in 2 days. I installed the new Baking Element myself. Took longer to figure out which curcuit braker to turn off. In about 30 minutes I had a brand new Baking Element in my oven working perfectly. On the following day, I installed the Broiler Element. That took a bit longer as it sits in a metal...

Kitchenaid over door broken glass replacement Robert L. • Los Angeles , CA • November 09, 2019
The most difficult part was figuring out how to take the door off as the manual instructions were not clear. Thank you, YouTube for your help. This door doesn't have the more modern release latches. You open the door all the way and stick Allen wrenches into the holes that appear by the joint of the latch. When you close the door to 3/4 or 7/8 closed, the latches are released from the unit and by holding the sides of the door, you pull it out.
The whole replacement would take around an hour,...
