Replaced the large burner control switches for the ones giving trouble. Since the other two switches had seen as much use as the faulty ones, replaced them too. After putting in new switches, found that one large burner had burned out so replaced it also. Range now cooks as good as new Read more

I ordered the three parts listed and now my oven is beautiful, functional and like new again. I first had to figure out that the original parts are no longer available and had to perform an oven upgrade. The problem seemed to be with the switch so I watched a few youtube videos to learn more about how ranges work. After locating the correct replacement switch I ordered it on-line around 10 pm Tuesday night. The new switch arrived Thursday morning at about 10 am and I had my range back up and working like new in less that 30 minutes. Purchased 4 new knobs to replace the broken two and have two in reserve for down the road. Unfortunately the manufacturer's design won't stop the problem but at lease ApplianceParts Pro can replace them quickly. I ordered them the same day a repairman came out to fix the oven. I ordered both hinges (if the nylon roller was bad on the left, it was probably going to go bad on the right side as well). The web site was easy to navigate, order process simple. Hinges arrived quickly. Slide the oven door up and off. unscrew the three screws for the hinge. You need to then pull up with some force (there is a big spring in there), and twist the hinge to get the last bit out. Fridge keept building up ice in defrost drain drain in freezer. Once the drain pan filled with ice it drips into fridge compartment. After taking things apart three times to thaw it out, decided to replace defrost components - heater and temperature switch. In addition to new parts, also added a 12 gauge copper wire hook that hangs from defrost heater into the defrost drain. After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. I took it apart to troubleshoot. I was pretty sure it was the switch but wanted to make sure it wasn't the element as well. Sure enough the switch was burnt at a little piece of copper protruding out the side. The plastic was blackened too which was a telling sign. The element was fine. I replaced the switch, turned on the cooktop and it worked again. Apparently, these switches are wired in series because when this one went out the rest of them wouldn't turn on either. Read more
