I ordered a replacement handle and screws. The process was very easy with the help of one of your "pros" who found all the parts needed and took my order. I didn't realize I was getting both a refrigerator door handle and a freezer door handle in one set, but now we have the freezer handle if we need it. Removing the old handle and installing the replacement was very easy. It looks great, in fact the replacement is metal, whereas the original was plastic, so it looks better than it ever did! Gotta love the inter-webs and youtube.com I did a couple of searches and some troubleshooting. Everything pointed to the damper assembly and thermo so I ordered them as well as the new versions of the flimsy plastic drawer shelves, while I was working out of state during COVID. I had the parts waiting for me at the house. Rolled in Sunday, 22 minutes later, damper and thermo installed. The fridge is cooling. The ice dispenser chute door had not been sealing for years. The ice cubes on the lower portion of the ice bin would melt enough eventually to then freeze up into a big, amalgamated blob of ice due to ambient air coming up the chute. The problem was that the motor coupler & shaft had a tiny bit of rust at their union. With the weight of the ice bin it rusted in the lowest position. This didn't allow the motor coupler to float on the shaft. There is a spring inside the shaft that pushes up on the motor coupler keeping it engaged in the ice bin coupler above.
