Whirlpool washer model number wtw4800xq2 went off balance banging and bouncing around all of the time Jessica B. • Riverview , MI • November 13, 2019
After looking up the model number of my washing machine on AppliancePartsPros.com I ordered the suspension rod kit, two sets of tub centering springs (one spring per corner), a Ring-Tub (mine was breaking apart due to banging around) and a spare suspension bearing kit in case I need it later. I spoke to a very helpful customer service rep on the phone just before placing my order. They have customer service representatives answering the phone late at night. I was surprised. All of my parts were...

Whirlpool lsr7233eq0 washing machine was leaking out the bottom Jerald F. • Laud Lakes , FL • April 05, 2015
I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. None of the hoses were leaking - no evidence of corrosion or water mineral residue at any of the hose fittings. So, it must have been something else. I studied the parts diagram for the washer tub assembly and concluded the source of the leak almost had to be the outer tub's Centerpost Gasket. It was really the...

Part Number: WP63907
The Suspension Spring is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. It helps support the washer tub and absorbs shock as the tub moves during the wash and spin cycles, ensuring stability and reducing vibrations. This spring is essential for maintaining the washer's balance, preventing excessive movement, and minimizing noise during operation.
Causes of a bad suspension spring can include wear and tear from regular use, overloading the washer, or damage from unbalanced loads. When the suspension spring fails, it can lead to increased vibrations, noise, and potential damage to other components of the washing machine.
Symptoms of a bad Suspension Spring include:
- Excessive shaking or vibrating during the wash cycle
- Loud banging noises
- Washer moving or "walking" during operation
- Uneven or off-balance loads
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Tub out of alignment violent wobbling during spin cycle Stephani W. • Folsom , CA • January 29, 2018
When I removed the cabinet, all of the springs appeared in tact, I had already replaced the counter balance spring so I knew that was not the issue. None of the suspension springs or brackets were broken but they did look worn/rusty so I replaced all of the brackets (2 in front and 1 large in back), all of the suspension spring retainers, and all of the suspension springs and it fixed the issue! I plan to also replace the Self leveling leg spring which is an easy fix since it's on the back of...

At high spin the washing machine tub was unbalanced and banging from side to side and then shut down Jonah T. • Richardson , TX • December 17, 2019
I called a repair guy who came out to specifically replace the suspension rods because I read that if you push down on the tub and it bounces around, then the rods have worn out. After running the diagnostics, the repair guy tried to tell me it was because the lid was not locking correctly! After expressing concern that this makes no sense, he continued taking things apart and noticed the agitator rollers were all broken and told me this is probably causing the tub to be unbalanced. I...

It was dancing around the floor when it went into the spin cycle Harry W. • Landisburg , PA • January 19, 2020
First went through the troubleshooting guide on the website and read the various stories and watched the repair videos for replacing the springs and suspension pads. Then before ordering any parts disassembled the machine only to the point of removing the cabinet to see if there were any obvious issues. The springs appeared OK but I couldn't tell of they were fatigued or not and all were in place but the tub suspension pads were definitely worn out. I then put the machine back together and went...

Lg washer: roaring bearings pump noises not draining properly and clogged hoses Albert W. • Germantown , MD • October 07, 2018
Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. It's amazing we had still been able to wash clothes at all! With the help of the excellent...

Our whirlpool duet washer was very noisy during spin cycles Linda M. • Kiel , WI • September 25, 2014
We looked online at AppliancePartsPros.com under the symptoms and found it was most likely caused by the shocks. Of course there was a repair video showing how to replace all four shocks step by step, and there was a link for purchasing the four shocks at the bottom of the video. Our repair didn't go quite as quickly as on the video because we are novices, but we were able to do the repair ourselves and, once again, saved ourselves a ton of money! Now we have a very quiet washer and dryer again...

Excessive vibration during spin cycle Jackie H. • Dunbar , WV • September 10, 2018
This was the second attempt at fixing this problem. The first repair and parts were generated by listing the problem and reviewing the potential corrections, listed on the web site. From making repairs on other clothes washers, I was confident that some of those potential causes could have been the cause. Unfortunately the counterbalance spring and suspension springs were not the cause as they were attached as intended and in good condition.
I reached out for Appliance Parts Pros input...

The Idler Arm Spring is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers, maintains tension in the dryer's belt system. This spring is crucial for the proper operation of the dryer, as it helps to keep the belt tight around the drum and motor pulley, enabling the drum to rotate smoothly during cycles.
Causes of a bad Idler Arm Spring can include stretching or weakening over time due to constant tension, or breakage from wear and tear.
Symptoms of a bad Idler Arm Spring include:
- Unusual noises, such as squeaking or squealing
- The dryer drum may not rotate smoothly or may stop turning altogether
- Clothes take longer to dry, or you may notice uneven drying
- The dryer might not start if the belt is disengaged due to insufficient tension.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

I had a unbalance issues and then lid lock issues no codes Linn P. • Dixon , IL • October 14, 2014
I read through the issues related to my problems. I purchased both parts so if one was fixed then the other still needed to be fixed I would have the part. I watched both videos for replacing the parts which made things so much easier. I will say prying in the front clips was the biggest issue out of the whole repair. I repaired the suspension issue by replacing the 4 rods. The very last rod that I replaced was indeed bent. I closed the top and ran one load and then the lid lock issues...

The drum on the spin cycle made very loud noises and it sounded like a broken suspension spring Tom Z. • Mahwah , NJ • July 23, 2015
I removed the top cover and found the left main suspension spring broken. Appliance Part Pros had the new springs (2 I replaced both) at my door in 26 hours. Excellent service from this company.
After disassembling the drum from the chassis of the machine, it was very easy to replace the springs.
i do wish however that I had purchased a higher quality machine. LG refused to do anything to help and the machine is only 3 years old and gets minimal use.
Hats off however to Appliance Parts Pros....
