Accessed the back of the washer as I would to replace the sensor and the old wire harness was easy enough to clip off. Hooked up the new wire harness and put it back together again.

Removed washer faceplate and located harness connected to motor. Saw that two of the wires had been displaced from the harness, probably from all the drum movement over the past 8 years. Ordered the new harness, received it in a very timely fashion and completed the repair in 30 minutes. Happy wife, happy life!
