Took cover completely off and tried putting back, could not match up left screw with available screw hole. Tried many different configurations and sequences to make this happen. watched a video on changing the front panel, the door in it had four screws, mine 2, no help there. I had the original sensors in my Frigidaire, which were now about 18 years old. This was a fairly easy fix. The only problem I had was that the cover over the retaining nut was difficult to pull off. I changed to a larger pair of pliers and put a little more muscle to it and it popped right out. There was a little corrosion on the shaft that needed to scraped off for the new agitator to slide on easily but after that was gone the new part slid on and with some downward pressure it seated in. Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam. Main problem was worn bearings in the motor, which was replaced. Additional issues were worn pulley on tensioner and impeller slipping on motor shaft. Pulley was replaced and hose clamp was used to secure blower on shaft. Read more

• Will not drain

Replace the drain pump after watching a video demonstrating the process. The washing machine had run properly and emptied, so I was surprised how much water remained in the pipe after disconnecting the old pump. Plan on having 2-3 large towels underneath before removing it. The most difficult part (and most irritating) was replacing the intake and outtake hoses with the existing spring clamps. With more difficulty and frustration than expected but it works fine now. Things learned: 1. Order only 3 replacement pins. One comes with the shocks that you can't be sure you see in the picture. 2. A circuit board in a plastic box mounted to the floor, left rear, must be removed by two screws to be able to get pliers onto the head of the pin more easily. This helps installation too. 3.
