Fixed it in 5minutes. One end has a Phillips head screw and the other has a tab with to metal leads for wires. The end with the tab broke. I removed the screw for the other end abd the sensor bar came off. To put the new piece on, I connected the wires to the leads, slid the tab end into place on the drum and screwed in the other end. Replaced motor and new solenoid and yoke assembly, motor ran fine but Ice maker did not make Ice, water was turned on and the wire off and on latch was is the down position (on). Disconnected the water line from the Ice maker tray, ice had formed in the line while I was waiting for my parts (about 5 days), I would suggest disconnecting the water line at the feed end were your shut off valve is located and allow water to drain out of line. • Ice maker won't dispense ice

Simply open the top of the washer by inserting a putty knife (watch YouTube ) and then the front panel by removing two bottom philips head screws on the front. The whole front panel comes right off. Using pliers the spring clams holding each hose, they come off and each hose is replaced. The drain one was only leaking but since it has open I changed both and even the drive belt. The seal at the bottom of the tub had started to fail. On large loads water would leak so I ordered a new one rubber seal. Getting the trunnion off the transmission shaft was hard as it was calcified and corroded. I used a wire brush to get some of it off and then used a lot of WD-40. The bolt holding the trunnion plate on sheared off when I tried to remove it on one side and the other came out ok (the bolt hole through the trunnion is not threaded so it should slide out once the plate is off... Following the great video on the site, I pulled the motor off and was about to put the o-rings on when I noticed there was rust on the motor shaft. Very close inspection showed the o-rings were still good. Not having time to order a motor, and a local store was having a sale, I replaced the whole unit. Read more

Removed the lower hinge and repaired it, It was bent, allowing the bottom of door to rub on the inside of refrigerator. With the parts purchased along with the repair made to the hinge. The door now works as it should. Read more

First replaced defrost timer which tested OK - but reasonable price and easy to replace. When that did not fix the problem replaced the defrost thermostat and defrost heater. That fixed the problem. However all three parts tested OK ?? May have been a loose connection or intermittent problem with one of the parts. Final cost for all three parts was much cheaper than a service call!! Read more
