The Dishrack Track (Right) is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It is responsible for supporting the third-level dishrack and allowing it to glide in and out smoothly during the loading and unloading process. This track is designed specifically for the right side of the third-level rack.
Causes of a bad track include damage from heavy use over time, such as dulling or bending of the metal track surface from repeated loading/unloading of dishes. Debris or residue buildup along the track can also cause issues.

I took the front panel off which exposed the front two shock absorbers. But I could still only replace the front left shock. I could not get access to the one on the right. I then took the back panel off which gave me access to both back shocks and the other front shock. A simple twist and they were done. The longest part of the job was taking the back panel off. There is a split at the 3 O'clock position. Color: white. It measures about 3 inches wide by 4 inches high.
We had to take the clips off the side arms to remove the upper basket. Then we turned it upside down to easily access the supply tube. There was one screw that held the assembly in place. We removed that and then replaced the part and put it back together. The feed tube holder just clipped to the upper basket. Read more
