I replaced the timer...I talked with a tech to make sure the timer I ordered was the correct one. Watching the video was a great help especially with removing the knob. I replaced the timer, and the problem was solved. The only problem I had was the screw holes in the new timer would not accept the screws from the old timer, so I used self tapping screws. Otherwise, a straightforward fix and fairly easy to do. Read more

The most challenging part of this was determining what the problem was. At first I thought the clutch (or related parts) had worn out, but by chance, I pulled on the timer knob, and the machine started spinning. When I let it go, it stopped. Did some research via the internet and figured the problem was likely the moisture control board. Watched a video of the repair of a similar unit in order to locate the moisture control board.
