Ordered the gasket kit. The shipping time was quick. The installation was more difficult than anticipated. The inside of the door had to be removed there were about 30 hex head screws. the new gasket then had to be fitted to the interior of the door and then placed on the outer part of the door and the screws replaced. Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. After watching numerous videos I was able to discern that the problem was with one of the following: the timer, the heater, or the thermostat. a short time check showed me that the timer was working so that narrowed it down to the other two. Not having the necessary tools to check those two I ordered both parts. I ordered the new oven bottom from Appliance Parts Pros and within three days I had a brand new oven bottom. Took the old one out, the new one fit superbly. The next time I will definitely put foil or an oven liner on the bottom rack to catch the drips from the pies as the Aqua-lift cleaning system on the Whirlpool oven did not do the job. Read more

Blower wheel and clamp replacement. Initially, we replaced both the belt and drum roller wheels but that did not stop the noise. By reviewing videos on YouTube and AppliancePartsPros, we suspected that the blower wheel could be problematic, even though with front panel of dryer off, we did not see any visual clues to support that theory. Found the right part at AppliancePartsPros.com, ordered the part, watched the tutorial. Took less than 5 minutes to install new door seal, and now our laundry area is no longer hot and humid. The timer knob simply pulls off the shaft with a solid, steady pull. Cleaned the timer cavity of lint/dust buildup. Aligned the keying flat of the shaft and knob and pushed the new knob on with careful, steady pressure until it was obviously seated. No tools required other than a vacuum. The door switch would sometimes not shut the dryer off when the door was opened. New switch came with new fast-on connectors. I have a 25 year old Kenmore washer that works well and didn't want to get a new washer as they don't make them like they used to. Upon removing the top cap of the agitator and doing an inspection, the agitator dogs were completely broken into pieces. Due to age we decided to replace the lower and upper agitator along with the agitator auger dogs repair kit. All new parts and works fine.
