Fix an oven that won't heat with this bake element kit. Simple plug-in installation takes about 20 minutes. Includes element and mounting hardware.
The top part of our double wall oven quit working a couple years ago. We asked an appliance repair guy if he could find a replacement heating element and after a few days, he told us he couldn't. We switched to using the bottom and recently I started looking to purchase a new oven. On a whim, I decided to check the Interwebs and found several sites claiming to have the part that the appliance repair guy said didn't exist. I ordered from Appliance Parts Pros and a few days later the... Read more

Suspension pad kit absorbs vibration and reduces movement in your washer tub. Replace worn, cracked, or missing pads to restore stability during operation.
First went through the troubleshooting guide on the website and read the various stories and watched the repair videos for replacing the springs and suspension pads. Then before ordering any parts disassembled the machine only to the point of removing the cabinet to see if there were any obvious issues. The springs appeared OK but I couldn't tell of they were fatigued or not and all were in place but the tub suspension pads were definitely worn out. I then put the machine back together and went... Dryer not heating or overheating? This high limit thermostat kit prevents overheating by cutting power when temperature exceeds safe levels. DIY repair.
Purchased, Igniter Kit, Gas Valve Coil Kit, and as a precaution Thermal Fuse and Cutoff-Tml. Was pretty confident the problem was the gas valve coil, but figured that why not just replace the other items while I had the unit apart. Researching and utilizing this site certainly helped me out in figuring what the problem may be. Watched the instruction videos which were very detailed and helpful. The replacement and repair was not that difficult and the work was done rather quickly. Doing... Read more
Dryer won't start or runs with door open? This door switch kit restores safety shutdown function. Simple clip-in repair takes 15-30 minutes. Video included.
The timer knob simply pulls off the shaft with a solid, steady pull. Cleaned the timer cavity of lint/dust buildup. Aligned the keying flat of the shaft and knob and pushed the new knob on with careful, steady pressure until it was obviously seated. No tools required other than a vacuum. The door switch would sometimes not shut the dryer off when the door was opened. New switch came with new fast-on connectors. Replacement required opening the top cover of the dryer and hinging it up. This... Read more
Loud noise or freezer warming up? This evaporator fan blade circulates cold air over coils. Simple DIY fix—most repairs done in under an hour.
The fridge is 20+ years old in a home we recently moved into. It sounded like a motor getting stuck on something or grinding weird... was hoping it wasn't something more serious. Found this site, clicked 'noisy' and got the replacement evaporator fan motor blade as well as the motor evaporator. Turned out I didn't really need to replace the fan blade, but since I had it and ours was old, figured I might as well put in the new parts. Followed the videos here, which were really helpful. Fixes ice buildup on the back freezer wall and constant running. This defrost thermostat monitors temperature during defrost cycles. 20-minute repair.
By reading stories of other customers who had bought this part, the first thing I looked for when troubleshooting my near-18 year old Frigidaire was for the top to be erupted or raised up on the bimetal defrost. It was truly a case of “look for the simple explanation first.” Once I determined that the bimetal defrost appeared to be the culprit, I ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros. The back panel (evaporator cover) on my freezer was totally encrusted with ice. So I'm waiting for this to... Read more
Traps lint and debris during drying cycles to prevent exhaust clogs and maintain efficiency. Replace when torn, damaged, or not catching lint properly.
This was a Maytag DE312 actually a Whirlpool labeled as Maytag) and is 27 years old. Replaced motor, drive belt and drum rollers. One tricky part was the motor because the new motor comes with integral starter and it was necessary to cut off existing female spade connectors on some wires and crimp on new connectors. Instructions were adequate but need to be carefully followed and a decent electrical stripping and crimping tool must be at hand. I bought a new motor drive pulley because another... Read more
Washer making loud screeching or grinding noise during drain or spin? A failed drain pump bearing is the likely cause. DIY repair in 20-60 minutes.
It was a relatively easy fix. Removed the small access panel at the back of the washing machine after unplugging the unit. The pump is right there. Disconnected the two hoses to the pump, catching some water with towels. Removed three retaining screws, then realized I had not disconnected the belt from under the unit. Easy fix, tilted the unit and disconnected the belt. Put in the new pump , connected the hoses, then reconnected the belts. Works like new! Read more
Prevents water leaks around the transmission shaft in your washer. Replace if you notice water on the floor or oil seepage. Confirm fit with your model.
In reality, this turned into a full-on rebuild project - with several parts orders, not just a simple repair. But I have to give credit: The parts listings with pictures on the AppliancePartsPros web site were really useful in figuring out what was going on inside the machine, and what parts I would need. Also: The repair videos were critical for me to be able to ensure I was reassembling everything correctly. Shout out to Simon, who was featured in several of the repair videos. His "gorgeous... Personally I have experience working with electricity and knowing if I bought the part required this would be an easy fix. Supports the inner tub for smooth spinning during wash cycles. Replace when you hear grinding noise or see water leaking from bottom center of tub.
I ordered the tub seal and stem seal kits along with the much needed spanner wrench. After viewing the video online several times and taking notes along the way I was ready to tackle the repair. After taking everything apart, I cleaned all areas thoroughly then addressed the rusty areas and mineral deposits found in the tub. Soaking the tub in vinegar and baking soda overnight helped loosen the built up deposits enough so I could carefully scrape them off with a spatula. This was very time... Read more
