Replaced the timer - This should have been a VERY easy repair however, there is a clip (holding the timer to panel) on the bottom of timer than must be removed with a pair of pliers. There is absolutely NO room to access this clip so I had to take apart much of the dryer to gain access. What should have been a 15 minute repair turned into a frustrating hour. Read more

Replaced timer, thermostat, a thermal fuse, the pair of thermal cutoff switches and finally the heater element. Hard to say what the final fix was that did the trick -- I am guessing it was the heater element although the old one appeared to have good continuity. I replaced the defrost thermostat and the defrost timer. That corrected the problem. Be careful when ordering your parts. I put in my model# and they gave me a defrost timer that was incorrect. I had to return at my cost and order the correct one. Don't assume because you put in your model# that the part is correct. We have a Frigidaire LGHS2667KE0. I’m not an appliance technician. Our refrigerator was not working. We were getting an error code SY CE on the front control panel. Replaced Oven Control Board. I already had removed the old part when I ordered the replacement. Part showed up in 48 hours. It took me about two minutes to install the new part. Tested to make sure it worked, then another 30 seconds to screw the back panel of the stove on. Read more

• Freezer not defrosting

I had had the same problem 4 or 5 years ago and spent close to $200 to repair it. I did have the slip from that repair with part #'s so I went ahead and ordered a defrost timer and thermostat. You-tube had plenty of videos on replacing those parts and even before they arrived I was able to add a switch and bypass the broken thermostat and start a cycle manually with the timer. So initial thought was bad bake igniter. I'bve replaced this before so I replaced it again and it wouldn't glow. Checked broil igniter and same thing, no glow. Checked voltage at molex connector for bake igniter and it went from 6.6v to 3.4v when triggered to glow -- well below the 120v expected. • Freezer not defrosting

I took the bottom tray out of the freezer and found the coils iced up severely. I was reasonably sure the defrost timer was the problem and your tech said that was a good possibility. Ordered and replaced timer. (15 minutes) Problem fixed!!! Saved purchasing a new fridge at big bucks. We live over 40 miles from a service center so the cost of having a tech come out is astronomical. Thanks!!! Read more
