Then before ordering any parts disassembled the machine only to the point of removing the cabinet to see if there were any obvious issues. I ran a diagnostics check on the washing machine and came up with the error code E47 -Board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin. The washer thought the door was open and would not finish the spin. I was left with a washer full of very wet clothes. This repair was SO extremely easy. I had replaced the Agitator cams a couple of times already due to my brother-in-law overloading the machine which stripped the teeth off of the cams. I also noticed the agitator seemed to 'wobble' and made 'knocking' noises quite a bit. Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking. I saw a lot of lint had built up inside the unit where there shouldn't have been that much. The part is so new no video so I went onto a similar part and watched video that got me about 80%. Then, called and customer service sent me a service Manual but this still was not specific so I broke the old to get it out and in the process figured out how to do it correctly. So I installed the last bit of it which was the bezel through the machine top by myself correctly. So, Saturday, the washer wouldn't drain, yes, I tried the Drain/Spin cycle. So I took the clothes out, rinsed them out twice in the laundry sink and dried them. I had to cut the old agitator out with an oscillating saw in order to access the agitator drive. This is the second Maytag (MVWC 565) I have had to do this to. I first tried removing it by sliding straps under the agitator then then using a jack to pull it loose which did not work either time. One suggestion I have would be to remove debris from tub as you cut in order to prevent it from dropping from the inner tub into the outer tub. Read more
