Replaced defrost heater, temperature and defrost limiter thermostat. After taking the cover off the air chiller I found the coils frozen solid and defrosted it with a hair dryer. Once defrosted I remover the heater coil to test it it was fine, then I could see the defrost limiter was broken and as I put the unit back together I broke the heater tube (it is glass) so I ordered all the parts that might be defective and replaced them for less than the charge of having some one come to check it out.

After doing a lot of web searching about the problem.

The only difficult problem was to thaw out the ice build up on the coils, which took 2 hours.
The rest was easy. now I have a freezer/ fridge that is working like new.

I received the parts and thanks to one of your assistants I received a service manual for my LG fridge - which I could not get from going to LG home site - they just kept wanting to send out a repair person - I am single older woman on a single income - not a bill I wanted to pay 80.00 just for a visit - and I was directed to a video by the assistant
