Order both racks, upper and lower. The lower rack came fully “assembled”, all four sets of wheels came installed. The upper rack was a little more challenging. I had to YouTube how to remove the upper rack. The new upper rack was bare. Had to install several parts and two of them were the side support and height adjustment pieces. This plastic cap covers the end of the dishwasher rack slide rail to protect the tub interior and ensure smooth rack movement. Replace if the rack is difficult to slide, makes scraping noises, or if the cap is missing or damaged.

While this is a Whirlpool dishwasher, I have the Kenmore Elite version of it. I believe them to be identical for parts. Took out 3 torx screws on each side, much of the insides fell out at this point. At this point I had the new part and what was left of the old part and the adjust lever. Screwed them back together and that was that. The new support piece was not needed. Read more
