The Top Bearing Asm is an OEM part for GE dryers. It supports the rotation of the dryer drum from its top position. The bearing assembly is a component that enables the smooth spinning of the dryer drum during the drying cycle.
Causes of a bad top bearing can include wear and tear from extended use, exposure to excessive vibrations or strains on the bearing, or damage from impact.
Symptoms of a bad top bearing include:
This GE replacement part is compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
Ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros, received it a day earlier and put the part on myself. Appliance Parts Pros has the lowest price for parts and shipping. I'm now able to dry my clothes at home. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros. Read more
This front drum bearing kit replaces the worn top bearing that supports the front of the dryer drum. It restores smooth, quiet rotation and helps prevent scraping noises or fabric snags caused by a damaged bearing surface.
Looked up on-line .Ordered upper drum bearing assembly. Read more
Kit contains 2 pads, 1 right glide, 1 left glide, and instruction sheet. Support brace no longer included.
The root cause was the front glides. They were virtually gone, and the drum was on metal to metal. So I replaced them with a front glide kit. I also replaced the belt, rear rollers, and lint screen. I am happy to say all the parts fit perfectly, and I couldn't find a better price anywhere else. I will definitely keep you on file for the next time I need appliance parts! Thank you! The Bearing Assembly is an OEM component designed for GE dryers. This assembly contains the dryer bearing and facilitates smooth drum rotation during drying cycles.
Symptoms of a bad bearing assembly can include wear and tear over time, exposure to vibrations, or rust/corrosion damage.
Causes of a bad bearing assembly include:
This OEM GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore dryer models.
Disassemble the drum from the rear bearing assembly. Unscrew the rear bearing assembly from the rear of the dryer. Replace with new bearing assembly. Place new bearing plastic on rear stem of drum. Replace drum into rear of dryer. Read more
Right hand side. Used most Admiral, Crosley, Norge, and Magic Chef dryers. Includes glide and felt pad.
I took the dryer apart.....first had to clean out all the lint here and there. Took the drum out, inspected the belt and back support wheels. They seemed to be fine. In the front the drum turns on two supports that have a Teflon glide. Those two glides had been worn off with their pad so metal was rubbing against metal. Went online to appliancepartspros.com and looked up on the schematic what parts I needed. I also had called around locally and the same parts cost twice as much....so I... Read more
This top bearing assembly supports the front of the dryer drum and includes felt seals to help maintain proper airflow and reduce noise. Replacing a worn bearing restores smooth drum rotation and helps prevent scraping sounds and fabric snagging. What it does:
I replaced the slide bearings a few years back. A few months later the rear bearing started to go so I replaced that one. Bad idea. Replace these two at the same time. The wobbling from the rear bearing failure caused accelerated wear on the slide bearings. Without the money to fix it I ran it as it was. Another bad idea. The drum not only chewed through the slide bearings, but eventually the assembly as well. I replaced the whole assembly and rear bearing at one time a couple days ago. It was... Read more
The Duct Trap Housing is an OEM component specifically designed for GE laundry machines. It serves as the housing and base unit for the duct trap or lint trap that collects lint and debris during the drying cycle. The duct trap housing is designed to seamlessly integrate with the dryer vent and ducting system.
Causes of a bad duct trap housing include cracks or warping from heat exposure over time, damage due to impact or mishandling, or worn-out mounting components that secure it in place.
Symptoms of a bad duct trap housing include:
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
The Rear Bearing is an OEM part for GE electric dryers. Located at the rear of the drum assembly, it supports rotational movement during tumbling cycles.
As a moving part subjected to prolonged spinning, normal wear affects bearing operation over time. Degraded lubrication or component damage increases friction and compromises function.
Symptoms of a faulty rear bearing include:
Causes are typically from standard wear and accumulation of lint/dust over extended usage periods. Impacts may also prematurely affect bearing integrity on occasion.
This genuine GE replacement bearing restores smooth, quiet operation. Compatible with some Hotpoint, RCA, and select Kenmore dryers.
The Trap Duct Assembly for Dryer is an OEM replacement part for GE dryers. It forms the internal ductwork connection between the dryer drum and the vent tube. This assembly is critical for proper airflow and efficient moisture removal during the drying cycle.
Causes of a bad trap duct assembly can include cracks or loose connections due to heat fatigue over many cycles. Ducts must withstand temperature swings and mechanical stresses.
Symptoms of a bad trap duct assembly include:
This GE replacement part is compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore dryer models.
This drum slide bearing supports the front rim of the dryer drum so it turns smoothly and quietly. Replacing worn slides restores proper drum support, reducing scraping or squealing noises and helping prevent fabric snags at the door opening.
This bearing housing secures and supports a rotating shaft or assembly inside your appliance so it turns smoothly and quietly. Replacing a worn housing helps reduce noise, wobble, and drag to restore consistent, reliable motion.
This Rulon 488 cylinder glide supports the front edge of the dryer drum at the bulkhead. Replacing a worn glide restores smooth, quiet rotation and helps eliminate scraping or squealing from the front of the drum.
