The error code indicated a stuck button and I used You Tube videos to research the issue and to review the fix. After the videos showed several options including a self test to eliminate options to do a final resolution of the issue identifying not just a stuck button but a faulty control board. Ordered new timer. Unplugged dryer. Gently pulled off the front knob. Removed the 6 screws to remove the back panel. Why does one need 6 screws to attach the back top panel? Then it was a matter of lifting out the old timer, removing the electrical connections from old timer and placing them on the new timer in the same place, and placing the new timer where the old one was.
