Every time I tried to start our dryer, the "Sensing Light" came on, I heard a little "click," and the dryer would not start. According to the very helpful Appliance Parts Pros. videos, I was able to dismantle, diagnose a few components, and discover the broken part. In this case, it was a Broken Belt Switch. Pretty easy and straight forward fix. I removed door from dryer, seperated the inner from outer door shells by unscrewing the phillip head screws. Remove the old seal and replaced with new one. Screw everything back together, verify door closes and seals properly...job done! Read more

Replaced upper and lower felts. Painted rubbing surface on inside of drum with refrigerator enamel. Took out drum and lubed rear bearing. Replaced 2 of the 3 thermostats, and the belt just on principle. Spent a lot of time with shop-vac removing lint from drier and exhaust ducts. Runs great and is no longer cooking or staining clothes. Repair company came out, removed the oven door, cleaned the soiled area and showed us how to take the door off and replace it. (Kitchen Aid electric oven). This was not a DIY project, but will be next time. Read more

When I pulled out the dryer from the wall, I could see dust/lint had accumulated everywhere and the vent system was compromised. I vacuumed up the dust/lint accumulation outside and then inside the vent system. I then opened the lower cabinet to clean and check its condition. I removed the water steamer bottle and its sub-assembly and then the drum. After watching YouTube videos on possible cause, went to appliancepartspros and order seal and leveling legs since the had been missing since machne was given to us. Parts came in within the week and replaced . No more leaks!! Read more

There is no good diagram explaining how exactly these fit in. I had to do trial and error. The parts are quite delicate so I actually broke one trying to get it in. I would recommend ordering an extra or two. These need springs tonfit correctly. Luckily I saved the old ones...if you don't have them, it won't work. The drawer is attached to slides with 2 screws. The slides attach to the pedestal side brackets with 2 screws, easy to remove and install new parts, the slides are not labeled correctly - the left is actually the right side and the right is the left side. All the plastic part does is act like a lock to hold the drawer closed. be sure to get the slides positioned correctly on the drawer before attaching the screws. Read more

I replaced the idler pulley, belt and motor! Motor was the main culprit. The motor has faulty centrifugal switches Integrated into the motor. When tumbler begins to turn, the switch kills The motor. The only way to fix it is replace the prefectly good motor, with a New switch inside. Read more
