This was one of the easiest appliance repairs that I have ever done. This is the crisper drawer cover assembly that sits on top of the crisper drawers in the refrigerator compartment, featuring a glass insert within a plastic frame. It acts as a shelf while also helping maintain humidity levels in the crisper bins below. Replace this cover if the glass is cracked or shattered, if the frame is broken, or if it no longer sits level on the drawer supports.
I had to purchase the whole glass and support for the drawer and throw out the old glass and everything but the support brackets from the original. I believe we had two problems. Our gasket was ripped in several places and our drain pan line was clogged. Therefore the water was frozen and backing up into the freezer. Front-wheel attaches to the shelf above. Where it screws in is kind of flimsy, no way to repair, had to replace the entire shelf, including the glass. Appliances Parts Pros had the best price, and it arrived quickly. You have to swap the metal brackets from the old to the new shelf (2 brackets x 5 screws), and reuse the old wheels as well. This was a 2000 model so rather than just replace the defrost timer which was visibly burnt on the terminals, we just did everything. The cold control, defrost timer, thermostat, defrost heater and the compressor capacitor were all replaced. I had the same issue on my older unit and tore it apart replacing one item at a time over a three month period so on an older one i suggest do it all while it is apart. Read more

This electronic module controls the water and ice dispenser functions on the refrigerator door. It processes input from the dispenser switches and manages the operation of the water valve and ice chute door. Replace this module if the dispenser is unresponsive, only partially works, or behaves erratically when pressing the dispenser lever.
Unfortunately, this part isn't sold separately, but the plastic that is attached to the metal spring that allows the actuator to disengage broke and I had to physically pull the "paddle" part back up for the water to stop coming out. This was a tough fix because there were two causes to my problem - a stuck water valve and a bad ice maker. I first replaced the water valve, but that did not resolve the problem. Tested existing water valve and found that the valves were working properly. Returned the water valve - easy RMA process and no issues. Replaced the ice maker and problem solved. Read more
