This replacement freezer door gasket creates a secure, flexible seal around the freezer door to help keep cold air in and warm air out, restoring proper door closure and helping the freezer maintain consistent temperature. What it does:
- Forms an airtight seal around the freezer door to reduce air leaks.
- Helps prevent frost and ice buildup inside the freezer.
- Restores proper door closure so the freezer maintains temperature more reliably.
- Reduces excess compressor cycling associated with a worn or damaged seal.
What's included: One replacement freezer door gasket. Install notes:
- Disconnect power or turn the appliance off before starting to avoid electrical hazards.
- Remove the old gasket and clean the door flange and mounting channel before installing the new seal.
- Press the new gasket fully into the channel, working around the door to ensure even seating and full contact.
- If the gasket feels stiff, follow OEM guidance or warm it gently to help it flex; avoid high heat that can damage the seal.
