After searching and watching videos, I determined that the only way to fix my dryer was to replace the entire timer. I also needed a new knob for the timer. Unfortunately, you can not purchase just 1 knob, you have to purchase a package that contains 1 of each of the knobs on the panel. The repair was very easy! Ordered conversion kit from Appliance Parts Pros.com and installed it myself. Most difficult part of the repair, was the removal of the front casing of the dryer to access the location of venturi tube to be changed out. The instructions were helpful, but not specific enough for my dryer. Get some acetone at a Hardware Store before you start. A pint will do. Unplug the dryer from 110 VAC. Pull the top off of the dryer, by lifting it from the front first. It is attached with snap metal fittings. Do not completely remove the top, just tip upright to gain access to the front interior of the dryer. I referenced the repair video. Very straightforward and easy. Only need 3 tools: 1/4 and 5/16 nut drivers and Philips head screwdriver. About 15 minute job. Surprising how much lint and dust build up inside the chassis, was able to clean that out too. Read more

The original issue with the dryer is that a corner of the lint screen was sticking out of the lint screen guide, and it would not stay flush with the guide. As a result, many tank top straps, waistband strings, and blankets would get caught on this corner and twist, tear, or warp my clothes. I took out 3 screws and replaced the part and it took maybe 1 minute. I only needed a screwdriver. Works great and I am very happy it is fixed but not about doing more laundry. Read more
