The original issue with the dryer is that a corner of the lint screen was sticking out of the lint screen guide, and it would not stay flush with the guide. As a result, many tank top straps, waistband strings, and blankets would get caught on this corner and twist, tear, or warp my clothes. The 2 sensors that sit on top of the flame tube work together. The Thrmst F should check closed, as should the Cutoff-TML, in order for power to flow to the ignitor. If the Cutoff is open, it is usually because the Thrmst-F did not open soon enough. The Thermst-F will cycle, closed to open, and repeat, however the Cutoff-HTML is a one time switch. Dropped light panel by removing two screws with socket set. Unplugged two terminals and unclipped the light socket from the base. Then just clipped the new socket onto the base, plugged the connectors onto the terminals and remounted the base. Total job was less than 15 minutes. Read more

Ordered replacement lint screen. When it arrived, I took out the old one and put the new one in the dryer. I am extremely happy with the new lint screen. I tried to find one on Sears website but it was unavailable; it was wonderful to find your website and to find what I needed. The customer service representative was so helpful and pleasant! I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. The repair technician asked for $500 for a repair and that is on top of the $230 I paid him two days before. I looked up the parts and decided to try myself and it paid off. Phillips head screwdriver. Unscrewed the door hinge from dryer. Removed/Unscrewed back of door panel and removed panel. Keep track of screws removed as there are two different types specific for reassembly. I unscrewed the glass panel frame which was held in place with "torx" head screws, which was not necessary. Separated back panel from front frame. Unscrewed broken door handle pieces. Replaced and screwed in place new door handle. Perfect fit. Replaced back panel to door frame and lined up... Read more

I took the dryer apart. (You Tube video). The issue was a portion of the tension belt pulley wheel had broken off. The drum belt which wraps around the drum and the pulley would make the drum spin off balance, hence making the pounding noise. 1) I changed the belt because the dryer is 10+ years old & it had many cracks. 2) I changed the belt tensioner. 3) I changed the LED light. Took the whole dryer apart to access the wheels (4) of them, belt and fan wheel, also had to clean all the lint out that somehow builds up inside the dryer. Plus cleaned out dryer duct vent, added to the time involved. If you are planning on fixing the dryer because of a noise which was in my case, I highly recommend buy all the parts for complete maintenance mentioned above. What helped save me time?
