This was a very simple repair. It was done in about an hour. It involves disconnecting the dishwasher, emptying the water from the inside, taking it out and flipping it over, and replacing the diverter motor. This repair is done on the underside of the dishwasher, nothing to disconnect inside (just remember to remove the baskets). The previous tenant in my daughter's new apartment apparently had a grease fire of sorts in the GE XL44 gas oven. This left the insulating double glass panes so fouled up that one could not see into the oven. Gasket and liner arrived as planned. Clips were a day later. Used "hog ring" pliers to remove the clips, worked great. Pre-punched holes in the gasket did not match the original but the plastic liner did. Used an ice pick to punch the gasket and inserted the clips. This is a felt seal strip that attaches to the front bulkhead panel of the dryer where the drum meets the front of the cabinet. It creates a soft barrier that prevents heated air from escaping and keeps clothing from getting caught between the drum and the panel. First I watched videos about squeaking Kenmore dryers.
