I viewed the self help video on You Tube and checked the water pressure first. Once the water pressure was determined to be fine I ordered a new water inlet valve as recommended from the video. LG supplier did not have the recommended part and after checking on-line I found Appliance Parts Pros had just what I needed. Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam. My Frigidaire side by side refrigerator/freezer suffered a catastrophic failure. Removed front panel from refrigerator door and replaced the ice chute door seal and also replaced the seal inside the door that seals against the ice maker. Read more

Dropped light panel by removing two screws with socket set. Unplugged two terminals and unclipped the light socket from the base. Then just clipped the new socket onto the base, plugged the connectors onto the terminals and remounted the base. Total job was less than 15 minutes. Read more
