Spring installs inside the gas pressure regulator assembly on gas dryers. Replace if lost during conversion between natural gas and propane fuel types.
Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP. I ended up finding the Dryer schematic on line for the Whirlpool Duet natural gas dryer and was able to figure out what sequence the Spring, regulator and limiter went in. The order I just... Replace a cracked, leaking, or worn washer drain hose. 48 inches long with clamp included. Installs between pump and standpipe for proper drainage.
Ordered a new drain hose and extension part. The prices including shipping were more reasonable than driving back and forth to the store just to piece meal parts together. Very frustrating. Lift the tumbler up remove and replace the spring. Did the same thing to the other side. On the tumbling unit there are spaces for three shock absorbers. Mine only had one shock in the middle. Fix a washer that overfills, won't fill enough, or stops filling mid-cycle. This water level pressure switch regulates tub fill. DIY repair in 30 minutes.
At first, I thought, maybe I should just get a new washing machine. After all, it is almost 20 years old! I couldn't bring myself to do that and said to myself, let me see if I can figure out what parts I need and see if I can find a video that tells me how to do it and see how hard it is. I’ve never attempted appliance repair before. After figuring out what the most likely parts were, I ordered the water level switch and agitator cam repair kit - I figured for $10 more, I might as well... Read more
Washer won't stop spinning smoothly or makes loud jerking noise when stopping? The brake shoe stops the tub during spin cycles. DIY repair in 1-2 hours.
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in... Read more
Fix washer not filling, slow fill, or water leaks with this water inlet valve assembly. Moderate DIY repair, typically takes 30-60 minutes to install.
I replaced the water inlet valve assembly. We have relatively hard water and I assumed that over the years those inlet valves were clogged with calcium deposits which in turn led to the high pitched squealing as water was added to the machine. The hardest part of the entire job was releasing the top of the washer to disconnect the hoses from the valve assembly. Everything else was relatively easy. We simply followed the online video. My washer no longer screams and I'm thrilled! Your... Read more

Prevents water leaks around your washer door during wash and spin cycles. Replace if you notice leaking, cracking, or mold buildup. Verify fit with your model.
Turned out that the large gray boot/gasket had finally started to harden and deteriorate right at the bottom where the drain hose is. No surprise it leaked after seeing that. Installing the new gasket (and new clamps which I figured I would replace at the same time) did the trick. Fairly simple install. Do yourself a favor and buy the spring pliers to remove/install the clamps. Well worth the time and hassle they will save you. Read more
