Was set to pull the trigger on a new washer since this one was 10+ years old. Broke a $25 lid switch fumbling to get the washer open before I found the appliancepros video library. Once I got things apart the right way I was able to diagnose the problem in 5 minutes. Identified the $10 part needed. Got the $10 coupling and the $25 switch and had the washer working like new in 20 minutes. I'm pretty proud of myself.. not going to tell anyone about the $25 switch. Read more

I changed the pump and also discovered the coin trap was wearing thin because it was rubbing against the sheet metal. So I replaced that as well. It took about 15 minutes to remove the coin trap and pump and about 20 minutes to install. The shipping was amazingly fast. I received the parts the next morning. Removed front of dryer panel, removed top, and removed drum. Replaced motor and wheel, because the old wheel was rusted on the motor shaft, and could not be removed, so I had to break it off. Replaced motor, and reassembled. Everything works now. I also replace the switch-Pb, because the start button was getting stuck. Read more

Ice buildup inside the freezer was caused by warm air beneath the freezer contacting cold air from inside the freezer the resulting condensation freezing and blocking the drain, causing the ice buildup inside. Started out as a replacement of the coupling between the motor and the basket transmission ( 2 of the 3 legs on the transmission side broken.. )... Bought a new pump, since I would have it off... or so I thought.. Metal output shaft into pump + years of moisture = pump rusted on. Put it all back together - runs fine... for a while.. Then the old pump bearings burn out. Back apart.. Cut the old pump off the motor. Reinstall everything... Nothing, Just sits there and buzzes... Now... Read more

Went on internet, found a great site and learned that the cold water hose filter was very much clogged at the machine intake. Cleaned it and voila. Ordered an extra filter from Appliance Pros.com and literally was amazed that it arrive within 2 days of my internet order. Great efficiency and customer service….great experience.
