I found a youtube video about replacing the hot water valve in a Samsung washer. It looked pretty easy. I purchased the lid latch assembly and the lid switch strike. Following the clear video instructions for each part, my handy teenage son was able to remove the lid latch assembly and replace it with the new part as well as the lid switch strike. I originally called a local repair company. After waiting a week they told me they were unable to get the part and that it was back ordered!! I asked them to give me the part numbers...at which point he said..."you won't find them"! This should be plastered all over the place and every owner of a front end washer should be advised or a recall should be issued about this. As I opened the top of my washer to fix a F35 error by replacing the water level switch, which worked out great and it fixed the issue, I noticed a rusting spot at the bottom of the washer just under where the motor is placed. I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. Replaced pump. All components are accessible from the front of the machine. You have to remove two screws in the back that hold on the top cover, then slide the cover back. This will allow access to the screws that hold on the control panel. Remove the control panel (unplug cable), then remove the spring/wire that holds on the door bellows to the front panel (removing and installing that is the most difficult part of the job) and carefully remove the bellows from the front panel. Ordered the springs and shocks. Noticed that the washer had placement for 4 springs, but the factory only installs 2 (or they forgot to install the other two on my machine). If you replace the springs, be sure to check for the spring bracket mount. You will also need those. The washer is running fine. Next I'll work on the dryer. Read more

• Leaking

Fixed by replacing the washer door seal "Bellows". Once again AppliancePartsPros comes through with the right part at a great price. It took quite some time to install because putting the inside spring back on the bellow was difficult so I needed to remove the top and front door of the washer to get better access. I read through the issues related to my problems. I purchased both parts so if one was fixed then the other still needed to be fixed I would have the part. I watched both videos for replacing the parts which made things so much easier. I will say prying in the front clips was the biggest issue out of the whole repair. I repaired the suspension issue by replacing the 4 rods. The very last rod that I replaced was indeed bent. I closed the top and ran one load and then the lid lock issues... Read more

The LG Model LG Washer model WM2487HRMA ISSUE: Washing Machine was filling very slowly. Overnight it would fill about 1 or 2 gallons. I would clear the tub by pushing a) Power b) set spin to None c) push Start. That would empty the tub. REPAIR SOLUTION: That did not solve the problem. It was really easy to fix. I just took a screw driver and gently pried up on the top of the clothes washer to open up the top. Then the mixing valve was easy to access. I removed the two screws holding and unplugged the the wires. And pulled the old one free. Then reversed the process to install the old one. Less than thirty minutes start to finish. Read more

I removed the two screws and all the pieces that were broken. Went online to Appliance parts.com, searched for the part using the model number from the machine and ordered the part . part arrived in 2 days and with a Phillips screwdriver was installed in less than 5 minutes. Read more
