DIY, changed motor and sump. Put a dab of valve lubricant on seal. Wet outer seal of sump to get it to seat in bottom of tub. Cleaned electrical connectors corroded by leak. Coated connectors with dielectric grease. Had to buy additional clamp. Two clamps came in the sump package but both fit the smaller hose only. Neither fit the large hose. I wish the correct clamps were included. Home improvement store clamp is a little too wide to fit between ridges in large hose. Read more

I reviewed the schematic and saw the Volute Seal, and Impeller Seal were the two that were closest my source of water. After watching the video about changing the Impeller/seal I removed the motor, impeller, and volute; I found that the impeller seal was the faulty one in my case. I replaced the Board-Phas and speed control plate since power was not making it to the motor. When I received the speed control plate it had nuts on the upper screws with springs, since my old one didn't have nuts I assumed that the nuts were to keep the springs on until installed. Replaced Speed control plate. The contact points were pitted and burnt and not making good contact. I also replaced the agitator shaft, as it was slightly worn, and thought I would get the spring along with it as it was shown in the part image, but did not come with it. The mixer runs like new again! Read more
