I first verified the house panel circuit breaker was not tripped. It wasn't so I removed the bottom kick plate of the unit, using a circuit cricket I verified the power feed to the unit was live. • Won't start

My friend researched online what would make a dishwasher just stop working, no power. The person on the you tube video showed how to first start with the thermal fuse. Then searched online for the thermal fuse. You had the part for a small price. I felt it was worth trying to see if that may be the issue. IT WORKED!! I was repairing my daughter's WDT730pahz0 Whirlpool dishwasher. The bottom dish rack set of wheels was very easy to install. Performed diagnostic tests. Had code for no heat. I performed a continuity check on the element and found it to be bad. I replaced the Heating Element per the video directions they provided on their website. I also replaced the Hi-Limit Thermostat since I was in that area already. Funny, my husband did it. We have a service contract but you know how long that still takes. So he found the part at the bottom of the dishwasher and it had a number on it. • Will not fill with water

Ordered new inlet water valve and float switch kit. After repairs it now works fine. However the water inlet valve outlet end for fill hose (not water source) and wire connections (supposedly for this unit) were oriented 180 degrees opposite. I had to gently remove the blue plastic valve off the metal support bracket and turn it around and press back in place. Fortunately it appears it was designed for either orientation.
