My fridge was often reaching 60-70 degrees but would work well when motor/fans were running; it just wasn't cooling regularly. I checked the coils, defrost, damper, and fans, and they all seemed to work, so that only left the cold control in terms of what I was willing to try to fix. I found a video/tutorial on how to take it apart to see what was pieces were broken, then ordered the replacement parts and watched the video to put it back together again. Read more

Replaced Defrost timer, Heater element and Bimetal-Def. Since the Refrigerator was older and the parts are not that costly I just replaced them all since I was in there. Read more

Removed old gasket from groove then pushed new one into the cleaned groove. Took 5 minutes. Read more

Went to the website. entered the model number. Went to the parts menu, searched for the repair parts, then ordered. The parts arrived and I did the repairs. Read more

I replaced the Ice Dispenser Lever. Since the replacement part is only available in white and my fridge is bone, I replaced also the Water Dispenser Lever, so it looks much better. I followed the instructions in the video, which were very useful and very well done. My problem was that the refrigerator is a KitchenAid built-in, while the instructions were for a Whirlpool, so the removal of the faceplate was quite different from what was shown in the video and more difficult. Ordered the valve. (It was on my porch the next day.) Watched the video. Made the repair. Done. Read more

Ordered new gasket seals and had someone install them, Installed one prior myself and it was very difficult to heat and stretch and wrap doors. Ended up gouging my cabinet when stretching the seal . Leave for professionals and even they struggled. Tight now and working great. Read more
