Maytag Stirrer Motor (Service Kit)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10463866

This is the stirrer motor assembly that drives the metal stirrer in the microwave's waveguide. A working stirrer helps distribute microwave energy more evenly, reducing hot and cold spots for consistent heating.

  • Rotates the mode stirrer to spread RF energy inside the cavity
  • Symptoms of a failing motor can include uneven heating, cold spots, buzzing or grinding from the waveguide area, or the stirrer not turning
  • May restore even cooking performance when the original motor is worn or seized
What's included: Stirrer motor assembly as shown by the manufacturer for service replacement. Install notes:
  • Unplug the appliance before servicing; high-voltage components in microwaves can retain a dangerous charge
  • Remove the grill/cover and access panel to reach the stirrer motor location
  • Transfer any mounting hardware from the original part if not supplied
  • Ensure the stirrer blade or coupler is correctly seated and turns freely before reassembly

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Drum would not turn   Robert W. • Boulder , CO • March 16, 2015

If I opened door and held door switch, started dryer, turned drum by hand, quickly closed door and pushed start again before drum stopped turning, dryer worked fine. Apparently the part of the motor that gives it more juice on start up went bad. Ordered motor on Monday, received on Wednesday. Blower wheel would not come off the shaft of old motor, chiseled off as shown in motor installation video. Apparently wheel becoming fused to motor shaft is a common problem based on all the comments.... Read more

Removed front of dryer panel, removed top, and removed drum. Replaced motor and wheel, because the old wheel was rusted on the motor shaft, and could not be removed, so I had to break it off. Replaced motor, and reassembled. Everything works now. I also replace the switch-Pb, because the start button was getting stuck. Read more

By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W10411000

Fix a laundry center that won't spin, agitate, or hums without moving. This drive motor replacement requires moderate skill and 2-3 hours to install.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dryer motor failed   Randall S. • Huntsville , TX • October 03, 2014

I've read several reports about how "easy and quick" it was to replace the motor. All I can say is, "nonsense". It wasn't as easy as others reported, but for someone with decent tool skills, it was a very doable home repair - just be prepared to spend some time on it. First, the motor needs to be accessed from the FRONT of the dryer. This means removing the two cover panels to access the interior. NOTE: take photos as you go of how all interior pieces for together to make reassembly easier -... Read more

Maytag Fan Motor
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W10860984

The Motor-Fan is an OEM component specifically designed for Whirlpool kitchen ranges. Located within the back wall of the oven cavity, the motor fan works to circulate air and remove excess moisture and smoke during the cooking process. Proper motor-fan functioning helps ensure efficient oven ventilation and performance.

Symptoms of a bad motor fan include:

  • Excessive smoke or moisture left in the oven after cooking
  • Oven taking longer to preheat and cook due to poor air circulation
  • Loud buzzing or grinding noises emanating from the fan

Causes of failure are normally wear and tear of motor windings or fan blade bearings from years of continuous use. Overheating can potentially reduce lifespan as well.

This OEM Whirlpool part is compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The ice maker motor for the auger dispenser internal gears stripped   Paul D. • Swanton , OH • April 07, 2015

Replaced the motor, however not the easiest to do with the older refrigerators. First I had to remove the shelf that hold the ice bin. There is a small screw midway underneath the tray. Once removed the shelf is loose but still hard to remove. There is a side panel that is slotted andonce removed the shelf can then be removed, but not knowing that it is a very odd fitting unit. Then comes the unplugging which cannot be seen so it is all by feel. Once the shelf drops down the plug is now... Read more
