My wife noticed that our washing machine was making a terrible rumbling noise and seemed to be out of balance all of the time. Tub bearing failure, basically the whole machine has to be taken a part. I've used appliancepartspros in the past so I came back. Quick shipping, parts ordered Thursday night and got here Monday. Take your time or you'll just cost yourself more money. I was lucky in that I did not have to buy the $568 inner tub because I found a bearing and seal kit on Amazon for $80. A buddy of mine gave me a washer and said if you can fix it you can have it, It doesn't spin. I tried running a spin cycle and found that it did try to spin but was very noisy. Took out old timer, and upon inspection notice some electrical arcing( burned areas). I installed new timer and worked perfectly. Problem was that it would fill up with water, but after it was filled the timer kept going but washer was not agitating. Only thing that worked was delicates wash. Was set to pull the trigger on a new washer since this one was 10+ years old. Broke a $25 lid switch fumbling to get the washer open before I found the appliancepros video library. Once I got things apart the right way I was able to diagnose the problem in 5 minutes. Identified the $10 part needed.
