Remove the top panel by removing 3 hex nuts on the back of the washer. Inlet valve was located right underneath the panel towards the back. Remove one screw using a t20 bit and unplug the 2 plugs located on the valve. With a pair of pliers removed a tension clamp and the valve comes right off. Read more

Saw the drip, ordered the part. Unplugged machine from wall. Torx bit on my DeWalt cordless drill to remove the screws securing the lid to the machine, lifted off top cover. Turned off water supply and removed the water supply hoses from back of the machine, used needle-nosed pliers to remove spring clamps from the defective part, removed mounting screw for defective part at rear of machine. I replaced the water inlet valve assembly. We have relatively hard water and I assumed that over the years those inlet valves were clogged with calcium deposits which in turn led to the high pitched squealing as water was added to the machine.
