This is a water inlet valve with a built-in bimetal thermistor, used in washing machines to control the flow of water into the tub. The integrated thermistor helps regulate water temperature by sensing incoming water conditions. Researched, then decided to try everything suggested. Cleaned the hidden filter under the washer, checked the lines and the water inlet valves, opened it up and found a hose rubbed thin because it wasn't clipped correctly during the manufacturing process. Replaced the inlet valve, pressure sensor and the thinned tube (all parts except the hose from appliance parts pros.com-had to get the hose at the car parts store). Machine has not worked this well in years, and saved hundreds in labor. Your... Read more

Removed cover from Whirlpool washer (~20 years old) and found water to be leaking from hose connection at Break Vac. Obviously the hose had to be replaced but the Break Vac looked corroded and partially plugged, too, possibly inhibiting water flow. While the cabinet was off I noticed the Suspension Spring was rusted off so I ordered 1 of those, too. Total of all parts was under $45 so looks like we won't be getting a newer, more efficient washer anytime soon. Everything arrived in 3 days and... Read more
This assembly includes the dispenser housing along with integrated hot and cold water inlet valves for a top-load or front-load washing machine. It controls the flow of water into the machine and routes it through the detergent and fabric softener dispensers. Maytag Bravos Washer, Model #MVWX550XW1 My washer was emitting a loud noise - I describe it as a loud whining noise - while filling with water. The noise seemed to be coming from the fill valve assembly: 1) jiggling the supply hoses changed the inflection of the noise, 2) turning on the faucet in the adjacent laundry tub (thereby reducing the water supply pressure) also diminished the intensity of the whining noise. I ordered and installed this part - No. AP6023337 "Housing". The installation... Read more
