Ordered new gaskets from Appliance Parts Pros, arrived in 4 days. Removed old gaskets and replaced by starting at top corner and. Pushing seal into slot. Day before, opened seal boxes and spread seals to smooth out. Took about 10 minutes to replace both door seals. Right door magnetic seal improved but not great. Adjusted level and installed a 1/16” washer in door bottom hinge, which leveled door better and improved the seal strength. Read more

This was a tough fix because there were two causes to my problem - a stuck water valve and a bad ice maker. I first replaced the water valve, but that did not resolve the problem. Tested existing water valve and found that the valves were working properly. Returned the water valve - easy RMA process and no issues. Replaced the ice maker and problem solved. Read more

• Ice maker dispenses too much ice

This appears to be a weak spot on these refrigerators; the left-door ice maker will stop making (or at least consistently making) ice. Instead, an ice dam is created, which builds up in the ice maker corridor, making even getting the slide-in bucket nearly impossible to remove. Front-wheel attaches to the shelf above. Where it screws in is kind of flimsy, no way to repair, had to replace the entire shelf, including the glass. Appliances Parts Pros had the best price, and it arrived quickly. You have to swap the metal brackets from the old to the new shelf (2 brackets x 5 screws), and reuse the old wheels as well. Unfortunately, this part isn't sold separately, but the plastic that is attached to the metal spring that allows the actuator to disengage broke and I had to physically pull the "paddle" part back up for the water to stop coming out. Easy removal with a square bit screwdriver. First, take off the trim piece underneath the LCD display (screws are underneath), then take out the screws for the LCD display and pull down and out, then unplug the wires. Suspected it was the thermostat, since temperature stayed the same at multiple settings over a 24 hr period. There was only three components inside the freezer besides the evaporator, the fan was working, so I decided to just go ahead and replace the thermostat and defrost thermostat. Also replaced the defrost timer by the compressor, just to get all the old parts replaced with new. I had already replaced the compressor, so now I've pretty much have a new freezer. Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking. I saw a lot of lint had built up inside the unit where there shouldn't have been that much. I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on.
