Our Amana electric oven stopped producing heat. The bake element would not get hot anymore. I pulled stove away from wall and unplugged it. Removed the oven racks for easier access and simply used a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the element to the back interior wall. I replaced all 3 remaining burner controls because they were all original (mid 1970s GE electric range w/coil burners), and one of the controls occasionally made arcing sounds when cycling the burner on and off.
