Started my Maytag dryer (model LDE8200ACW) with a large load early Saturday morning and immediately heard a noticeable thumping noise as the drum turned. Opened the door and checked to make sure some of the laundry hadn’t wadded up and was causing the thumping. Restarted it but the thumping was still present. So this is a poor design in the first case. Not having a center support in the back almost guarantees a failure there eventually. I kludged together a support in my original more than a year ago, but finally the part broke too bad to limp along with anymore. This is the part I needed. We turned off the circuit breaker. We then removed the light cover and then the control panel. We disconnected the Keyboard, Utah, plugged in the new one and turned the breaker on to see if everything worked. We realized that we did not need a new jazz board so that is being returned. The old Keyboard was removed, the new one attached and all the parts were put back. The frig works fine now at the recommended settings of zero and 38F. Read more

I research it online and found that my timer knob skirt was cracked, watched the video online to see how to fix it, ordered the part………it came within 2.5 days. The heating element had a break in the heater coils, so I replaced it with a new one from Appliance Parts Pros. I also replaced the thermal fusible link and thermostat switch because they were so cheap it just made sense to go ahead and do it while I was in there. I also cleaned every nook & cranny in the dryer, then cleaned out the vent piping- which was about 100% clogged. • Freezer section too warm

The fan has a very thin wire in it's coil, and when that wire breaks, you need a new fan. In a previous repair, i noticed that an ice build-up had dislodged the wiring on my fan and severed the coil winding. I was able to undo the winding a couple of turns and get it working again. I had to pop the lid up from the front with a screw driver, and behind the element was a metal piece, a heat shield, that had two screws that had to be removed from the back. The little part with the blue round tag (part of the kit that came with the element) was easily removed with one screw. This repair was performed on a Whirlpool Cabrio clothes washer Model # WTW5640XW0 which has the digital electronic controls rather than the older style timer, electro/mechanical controls.
