• Element will not heat

1. Went online where I watched video about heat control for this Maytag. I then found AppliancePartsPros using Google. I ordered the part and In three days the part arrived. I installed the part and now the problem has been corrected. Read more

I had a slow leak at the water inlet valve where the water line from the filter assembly connected to the water inlet valve. I determine that the water line had scratches in it which caused it to not seal. Had to buy the entire reservoir and filter assembly to get that water line. The replacement was smooth. It took about 30 minutes to swap out and it fixed the leak. Read more

• Shuts off too soon

I removed the belt and found with no load the motor ran but made a grinding noise. I purchased a new motor and installed it. The fix was easy and quick. Read more

This was the second attempt at fixing this problem. The first repair and parts were generated by listing the problem and reviewing the potential corrections, listed on the web site. From making repairs on other clothes washers, I was confident that some of those potential causes could have been the cause. • Not cleaning dishes properly

The ridges inside the agitator base were stripped. Installed a new base - after a good cleaning of build-up on the spindle. Works like new! Read more

• Oven not heating evenly
• Little to no heat when baking

Our Amana electric oven stopped producing heat. The bake element would not get hot anymore. I pulled stove away from wall and unplugged it. Removed the oven racks for easier access and simply used a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the element to the back interior wall. Ran diagnostics 5 times to make sure I get the same error code and then called Appliance Parts Pros to order the washer pump. They informed me they had the pump assembly that has multiple parts on the unit and it was cost effective to order the assembly. I ordered the assembly and after a long back order time received the part. I watched a video on how to change these. I had ordered one a month ago because one had failed. I had no trouble --less than 30 seconds -- to insert a new for the bad one. Then a few weeks later, a 2nd one failed -- there are 4 of them -- and I figured that I might as well change out the bad one as well as the two "good" original ones. Given all the symptoms, we figured that the control board went out. First, unplug the refrigerator. The control board was easy to access by removing a panel on the back of the fridge. I unplugged all the connectors and used a putty knife to release the board from the plastic retaining clips. There was some browning on the underside of the board and the back of the refrigerator that suggests one of the capacitors on the board blew.
