Dishwasher Touch Pad

Removed torx screws attaching stainless liner to outer stainless door. Lift off inner door and carefully separate the electronic components from where they snap into the control panel. Relocate electronic components to the new control panel. Reattach the inner liner with the torx screws. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands to hold the control panel while making the electronics swap to avoid pulling on the wiring harness. Got on your web site, put in the model number and bingo a list of common problems was displayed. Clicked on the start button problem link and up came the suggested part. Your web site said that you had the part that I needed so next I clicked on the video that demonstrated how to replace the part. Ordered the part and selected next day air delivery. Dish washer was constantly beeping after an outage. Read online that this was due to a short in the control strip. Bought one here which arrived in a few days. Took 10 mins and a screw driver (Philips head) to fix it. Read more

Removed and unplugged dishwasher. Opened door and peeled off touch pad. Removed the screws that held the door together. Gently separated the inner and outer parts of the door. Removed the cable for touch pad. Fed new touch pad cable into door from top. And pressed cable back into fitting. Reassembled door. Plugged dishwasher back in and reinstalled into cabinet. Only one problem with my repair. I should have plugged in the “New” touch pad to see if it it worked properly. It has a led out on it... Read more

Replaced keypad with new one from your website. This repair requires the screws to be removed from the inside of the dishwasher door to allow access to the keypad control connection. Once the door was disassembled, it was a fairly straightforward replacement. Read more

Ordered a new control panel and installed it; The repair is super easy and it would not take more than 10 minutes were I to do it again but because I had never done anything like this before I got stuck at one point and it took me a lot longer. I could not figure out how to get the electrical box off the old control panel - it was just a matter of bending the middle part of the plastic clips but I had not seen that kind of clip before and it was not immediately evident.
