• Will not fill with water

Cycle would complete but dishes weren't clean (not even really wet) and soap wasn't dissolving. Could hear fill at start but maybe not spraying or filling again in cycle. Thought it was the control board, but actually this was not the error. Replaced the control board and same problem arose, only new control board version actually stopped cycle with message that dishwasher couldn't fill. Removed the bake element and broil element. Tested them with a multi meter. They failed. Ordered new elements. Received them in 2 days. Installed new elements. Oven works great. Entire fix took 10 minutes to remove and test elements, 10 minutes to install the new elements. It was my first time working on an appliance, the instruction videos were great! Read more

My husband expected we needed a new dishwasher but I insisted on trying to fix it first. You need a Torx screwdriver so make sure you have a set. A little difficult to get cover back on and lined up by myself, but I managed and this was my first attempt at major appliance repair. I replaced the entire console and the dispenser. Still working after 3 loads so my husband may have to eventually admit that I fixed it. Read more

Online videos made this seem an easy fix. I unplugged the oven and removed the rear panel, then found where the temp sensor entered the oven. I unplugged the sensor's electric connector. Unlike the videos, this sensor screwed in from the inside of the oven, so I had to remove the 2 screws inside the oven which hold the sensor in place. • Ice maker not making ice

I used your online troubleshooting tips and watched the videos on your site. I determined my thermostat was defective, ordered the thermostat which arrived in two days and I replaced the thermostat and I now have a full bin of ice !!! I removed to the cover to the coil, defrosted coil with a heat gun and checked the heater strip resistance. I set timer to defrost by hand to make sure everything was working. There was damage to the temp control sensor. Both parts were on your web site at a good price, ordering was easy. The parts were in the mail two days later. A screwdriver and nut driver were the only other tools other than a multi meter. Parts installed in five min. I had the option of talking with a pro !!! Read more

Gotta love the inter-webs and youtube.com I did a couple of searches and some troubleshooting. Everything pointed to the damper assembly and thermo so I ordered them as well as the new versions of the flimsy plastic drawer shelves, while I was working out of state during COVID. I had the parts waiting for me at the house. Rolled in Sunday, 22 minutes later, damper and thermo installed. The fridge is cooling. • Door sweating

The ice dispenser chute door had not been sealing for years. The ice cubes on the lower portion of the ice bin would melt enough eventually to then freeze up into a big, amalgamated blob of ice due to ambient air coming up the chute. This melt-then-freeze would happen, to the extent the chute froze to its own closure. Despite service technician visits over a period of six years nothing they did resolved the issue. Replaced the oven controller. This needed the only removal of six hex screws securing the back guard rear shield, two-wire plugs on the control unit, and four Phillips screws. All are easily accessible. The only difficulty came from an apparent model design change that separated the control unit and the overlay - the labels for the control buttons (items 20 and 20a in the backyard parts diagram).
