The Drain Hose is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It serves as the connection that allows dirty water to exit the dishwasher tub and flow into the water drain system after each wash cycle. The hose transports wastewater from inside the dishwasher out through the standpipe. Causes of a bad drain hose can include mineral or food debris buildup blocking water flow within the hose, cracks or breaks in the plastic material from repeated bending, or a loose or damaged hose clamp connection. Part was updated from original equipment (3 pieces) to a one piece tube. Snip the top of hanger loop then install. Just a couple minute job. Updated tube is much better than the original design. Read more
