This multi-temperature cycling thermostat regulates the dryer's drum heat, switching the heater on and off to match the temperature setting you choose. It can help restore consistent drying if temperatures are erratic, loads run too hot, or cycles take too long.
Put both thermostats in as I did not know if the unit was cycling on high limit at times. Fixed both issues plus I used my lawn blower and blew all the lint out of dryer and short 3' hose. I also lubed rear drum bearings. Works like new. Ron R Read more

After reviewing various posts on the internet, I tested the high heat temperature limiter and determined it was faulty due to lint buildup. Ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com on Friday afternoon and parts were delivered on Saturday afternoon. Replaced the parts- dryer works as good as new. Read more
The Pressure Sensor is an OEM replacement part for LG dryers. This sensor monitors the airflow or pressure within the dryer, helping to regulate drying cycles and ensure efficient operation. By detecting blockages or changes in airflow, it plays a critical role in maintaining proper performance and preventing overheating.
Over time, the pressure sensor can fail due to wear, electrical issues, or buildup of lint and debris. Damage to the sensor or its connections can cause the dryer to operate inefficiently or stop functioning altogether.
Symptoms of a bad pressure sensor include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore dryers.
This Thermostat is an OEM part for GE dryers. As a critical component in regulating the dryer's temperature, this thermostat ensures that the machine operates within a safe and efficient heat range. It monitors and controls the heat level, preventing the dryer from overheating while maintaining optimal drying conditions.
The need to replace the thermostat can arise from a variety of issues, including electrical problems, wear and tear, or a malfunction due to overheating. A failing thermostat can significantly impact the dryer's performance and safety.
Symptoms of a faulty Thermostat include:
This GE OEM replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

The Thermostat is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. The thermostat monitors the air temperature in the dryer drum and signals to the control system when to activate or deactivate heating elements. Causes of a failing thermostat can include normal wear and tear over time. As the thermostat undergoes frequent temperature fluctuations with each use, components may gradually degrade. Physical damage from accidental impact is another potential cause. Symptoms of a bad thermostat include:
This is a genuine Whirlpool OEM replacement this part is also compatible with Maytag, Jenn-Air and some Kenmore models.
I checked the continuity on the thermal fuse (which was blown) and knew that it needed to be replaced. This made me question why it blew (i.e. what caused it to fail). I checked continuity on the thermostat (high limit) as well as the thermostat for the element. Both passed a continuity test, so I removed the high limit thermostat to inspect it and could hear it rattling inside. This leads me to believe the spring inside had failed, so I replaced this thermostat as well. Put it back... Read more
The Thermal Cutoff is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. This cutoff component plays a crucial role in starting and stopping power to the dryer during operation. It does so through a sensitive thermal limiter that responds to temperature changes inside the dryer drum.
Causes of a bad cutoff can include damage or wear to the thermal limiter over time, loosening of internal wiring connections, or issues with the cutoff's electronic components.
Symptoms of a bad thermal cutoff include:
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
I replaced the thermal cut-off sensors and the cutoff-Tml Read more
This sensor harness connects the dryer's moisture sensor bars to the main wiring, helping the control or timer read moisture levels so Auto Dry cycles can advance and deliver consistent, reliable drying performance.
Replaced 3 low cost parts as advised by Appliance Parts Pros. Saved the labor costs by troubleshooting and replacing parts with their great videos. Works like new, and took 15 minutes to complete the repair. Read more

Ordered a new safety thermostat. Installed it in 10 minutes and good as new. Thanks for your great trouble shooting and fast parts the repair was a breeze. Read more
This internal-bias thermostat regulates dryer drum temperature by cycling the heat on and off, helping maintain consistent drying performance and protect against overheating.
Cleaned exhaust duct, but only from the dryer/laundry room side. Replaced thermal fuse. Unit worked for about two loads and thermal fuse blew again. This time I cleaned the exhaust vent on the roof of my 2-story house. It was found to be partially obstructed and I was able to remove a significant amount of lint from it. Also, I researched the problem and followed someone's advice to replace the cycling thermostat together with the thermal fuse if the thermal fuse blows. So far it has been... Read more
The Thermal Fuse is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This part prevents the dryer from overheating by cutting off power to the heating element if the dryer exceeds a safe temperature. It helps protect the appliance and home from potential fire hazards caused by overheating.
Causes of a bad thermal fuse can include lint buildup restricting airflow, a malfunctioning thermostat, or excessive load causing the dryer to overheat.
Symptoms of a bad thermal fuse include:
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.
When I pulled out the dryer from the wall, I could see dust/lint had accumulated everywhere and the vent system was compromised. I vacuumed up the dust/lint accumulation outside and then inside the vent system. I then opened the lower cabinet to clean and check its condition. I removed the water steamer bottle and its sub-assembly and then the drum. After cleaning and inspecting components — both visually and with a multi-meter I determined the problem was the appliance doing what it was... Read more
This safety thermostat monitors temperature at the dryer's air inlet and opens the heater circuit if temperatures climb too high. Replacing a failed unit restores proper heat control and helps protect the dryer from overheating damage. What it does:
Unpluged dryer unscrewed vent hose used nut driver to remove back pannal then took flat head screw driver to bend tab on heating elment caseing and pry carefully the electrical conector away from elment conection to remove thermostat then i placed the new thermostat on tap and pushed elctrical conetion back onto heater element conection till everything was thight and didnt wiggle dryer works well now Read more
This limit thermostat monitors dryer temperature and opens the heating circuit if temperatures climb too high, helping protect the appliance and laundry. Replacing a failed thermostat restores reliable heat and safe temperature control. What it does:
This thermostat is a temperature-sensitive switch used in the appliance's heating circuit. It opens and closes at a specific temperature to regulate or limit heat, helping maintain correct operation and protect components from damage due to overheating.
Replaced timer and cycling thermostat. cycling thermostat was the problem. For some reason it wasn't getting the message to the timer needed to cycle the dial. Read more
This thermostat monitors temperature and opens or closes its electrical contacts to control and protect the appliance's heating circuit. Replacing a failed thermostat restores stable temperatures and helps prevent nuisance shutdowns or persistent no-heat issues. What it does:
Changed Thermistor, Thermostats and the Thermal Fuse Assembly. I did not remove drum, so squeezing my hands in-between drum and vent hose pipe to remove screws was a tight fit, but doable. Read more
